About The KJ Pipeline

The Village of Kiryas Joel (pop. 15,000 and growing FAST) is requesting $20 million in federal funds for their proposal to tap into New York City's water supply. The Village has tried to portray this project as a regional water solution - however, NYC officials have stated that the water must be for Kiryas Joel alone.

With surrounding municipalities on the verge of building moratoriums, it is unjust that one community should receive federal aid for a project that will undoubtedly result in unbridled growth and expansion.

The Village of Kiryas Joel should be limited by its natural resources. Southern Orange County cannot sustain the uncontrolled growth that the pipeline will allow. It would become an economic and environmental disaster, and destroy our quality of life.

We must send a message to our elected representatives that the majority of Orange County residents do not want the pipeline. It is time that they listen to all of their constituents.

Please make sure you sign the online petition and share the message with your friends and neighbors.
